The i-27 Interstate Highway travels generally in a north-south
direction entirely within the state of Texas.
The i-27 is also known as the Canyon Expressway or Canyon Drive... the i-27
has been officially designated the "Marshall Formby Memorial Highway".
The city of Amarillo TX located at it's
north end ... and the city of Lubbock TX
is located at it's south end.
The major interstate highways that intersect the i-27 include the;
i-40.
The i-27 covers a distance of aprox. 124 miles ... which can
be travelled in just aprox. 2.07 hrs. with a sustained travelling speed of 60
miles-per-hour.
