The i-96 is an intrastate Interstate Highway that travels generally in a east-west
direction entirely within the state of Michigan.
The city of Detroit, MI is located at it's east end ... and the city of
Norton Shores, MI is located at it's west end.
The major interstate highways that intersect the i-96 include the;
i-69, i-75,
and i-94.
The i-96 covers a distance of aprox. 192 miles ... which can
be travelled in aprox. 3.2 hrs. with a sustained travelling speed averaging 60
miles-per-hour.
