north-south direction thru 2 US states, those states being; New York and 
Pennsylvania.
 With the i-99 being a multi-sectional highway (not a contiguous 
highway) ... the northern section of the i-99 runs thru 1 state, that being New 
York ... while the southern section of the i-99 runs thru 1 state; that being 
Pennsylvania. The city of Painted Post NY 
is located at it's north end ... and the city of Bedford 
PA is located near it's south end.  The major interstate highways that intersect the i-99 include the;
i-70, i-76,
i-80, and i-86. The i-99 covers a total combined of distance of aprox. 99 miles (both 
sections) ... while the northern section of the i-99 that runs thru New York 
state is aprox. 13 
miles long and can be travelled in aprox. 0.2 of an hr. with a sustained travelling speed averaging 60 
miles-per-hour ... while the western section of the i-99 that runs thru Illinois is aprox. 
just 86 miles long and can be travelled in aprox. 21.4 hrs. with a sustained travelling speed averaging 60
